Re: 97 silverado minor touches build
Well I decided to keep it, the 93 just didnt have anything that popped at me and said I had to have that truck.
After i decided to hold onto it for atleast a little longer (still looking for a ext. cab truck like this) I went ahead and painted some interior pieces. I also got a heck of a deal on some 5% window tint. I picked it up after it was dark ill take some daytime pics tomorrow. |

Re: 97 silverado minor touches build
I do like the door sill plates, the wipers maybe. I just dont think they would make a huge difference, i would have to see them on a truck to be able to say if they were worth the price. Deff looking at the sill plates.
I will probably go with a smooth bumper on the front and the back. I dont want a roll pan as i still use this truck and i like the step up feature of the bumper. i dont think smooth bumpers front and rear would look to bad tho. Where do most people buy there smooth bumpers. |

Re: 97 silverado minor touches build
Well guys I sold it, well traded it, I got a job offer up in michigan this coming may and Just couldnt see relying on a 2 wheel drive truck.
I traded straight up plus some cash on his end for a 96 tahoe. Pretty much stock, not for long tho. |

Re: 97 silverado minor touches build
Nice . I'm thinking chrome step bars to accent the the silver/chrome on the lower half. Make that sucker rumble with some Flowmaster 40 series and tint those front windows 35%. Done and done.

Re: 97 silverado minor touches build
Not sure i follow. Is the 3 in the front achieved with the cut coil or the cut coils and some spindles?
That was a great looking truck BTW, sorry to see it gone. |

Re: 97 silverado minor touches build
ya I did what I needed to do to accomodate the family space needs, I'll miss the truck but the yukon will be even better.
If you cut 1 complete coil off the Stock coil it will lower it 2.5 to 3 inches thats what i did and it lowered it 2.13/16. So mine is 4 in drop in the rear and a cut coil up front |
