4x4 as an option?
I thought 4x4 was a different model number and not listed as an option on the SPID. Is this guy just making stuff up? Would it really affect the insurance rate on a 40 year old truck??? Truck might not be a bad deal though

Re: 4x4 as an option?
The metalized tag could be the protectoplate and he didn't really look at what it said.

Re: 4x4 as an option?
He is making stuff up to try and sell the truck. Your insurance WILL be higher on a 4 x 4 here in Calif, there is no way around it. I contacted him when this truck first came up for sale. It is not a bad looking truck, but will be a tough sale here.

The way I understand it, the 4x4 was a different model # truck not merely an option to be installed on any truck. All 4x4s seem relatively rare compared to the 2x4's in the 67-72 trucks. I don't know what the numbers were at production but throughtout the years, 4x4's have seen more abuse and fewer have survived. They were used more in the winter salt, beat up off road, and succumbed to hillybilly modding more. It seems I see 10 2x4's for every 4x4 these days.

Re: 4x4 as an option?
4X4 isn't an option, and the seller is either blowing smoke, or had smoke blown up his.
