Painted 71 & 72 grills With New Paint Job. Whos Done it? Photoshop'rs help

So im about to have my 72 chev painted. i was thinking of doing a dark green, almost black green, and painting the radiator core chrome, then painting the 71-72 style grill the body color green. i have all new brilliant crome grill frame, and headlight bezels. I figured the 71-72 grill is open enough that the bright chrome behind the grill would show through and give some cool depth. what do you guys think?


If anyone could do a photoshop job of a dark green stepside with the grill im describing i would be very great-full.

I like the idea of the grille painted to match the paint. have seen it done on blue and red trucks. And they look really good black so a dark green would look very cool. not sure about the radiator support showing through though because of all the bumps and the radiator in the center.

im gonna weld some stainless mesh to the core support to cover the black "void"
