this was the solution to the 4 sp shifter hitting my seat its always a big hit. i cut the original shifter handle about 1 1/2" above the floor made sure it was in 4 gear closest to the seat & tack welded it, shifted to 1st gear and tacked it to clear the dash, if this is to high for you use smaller wrenches for for 4 speeds or 1 wrench for an automatic. easy shifting being higher than whats available
