doors swing open too far, easy fix?

my doors swing too wide and they hit the body. i think the little limiter bar that stops it has stretched or the holes in it have stretched. anyone with advice? how exactly do they stop the door?
thanks.

The part you need is part of the door hinge asm. Most parts suppliers carry them or google 67-72 chevy truck hinge asm.

There is a steel strap in the middle of the top hinge. One end is held in with a roll pin, the other end has a stop block on the other end.

decent picture:

better look at stop block:

Then might I suggest some Dulcolax or white lithium....

You could also repair you existing hinge by using a welder to build up the stop blocks with a small bead then grinding it flat

Are you going to replace her too? Maybe a few days riding in the "truck" bed will cure her of this.

Ok I may do the welding thing. Only problem is my doors are filled with 4 inches of mud. I guess I'll have to get it all out. Haha
