sell off some toys?

Wasnt looking to but a guy knocked on the door and offered 12500 for these 2 trucks.he didnt even fire them up or even really look at them, said he was looking for a project.owned the white one 16 years so im a little nostalgic but Im thinking pretty fair price.chime in if youd pull the trigger.nice one needs paint,no real rust issues, less than 10000 km on engine/trans 396/turbo350.Sorry for lack of pics .

Re: sell off some toys?

I would have a hard time letting the swb 4x4 go, but it would depend how much you have in the two trucks. Also, can you find another swb 4x4 to replace the white one?

I have never sold any of my 67-72 trucks, so my advice doesn't count!

Re: sell off some toys?

The bulk of the that money would be for the SWB...I'm guessing it's probably 9-10gs right there. That's worth some coin up here. But then again, it's only worth what somebody buys it lol

Personally I'd love the SWB as they are few and far between and hold their value. I'd say that's about a right price for both of those trucks, although the SWB could be worth that $12,500 in itself based on it's condition. Got anymore pics of it? Looks great.

Re: sell off some toys?

Unless you need the money, lost interest,or have something different in mind you want I'd keep it. As mentioned, the bulk of the money is on the K/10. You could always sell the C/20 for it's portion of the money, but I wouldn't. I got rid of my camper rig and really regret it. In many ways that's the most fun 67-72 anyone could own. Mine started getting rough and that bothered me. I had too many irons in the fire and let it go. It still did what it was meant to,just with less good looks. This is me kicking myself:

Re: sell off some toys?

The one and only vehicle I regret selling was my 72 C/10 so I would say NO SALE!

Re: sell off some toys?

I would say keep the shortbed, unless you would just really rather have/need the money.

Re: sell off some toys?

Whatever you do, assuming you sell the trucks, will cost you money.

Take a lesson from me:

If you sell and you are a truck guy (which you must be to have these nice ones)...and you would end up without a truck, you'll be shopping. If not immediately, then soon.

And you know what happens when you go shopping.

Re: sell off some toys?

I bought the shortbox for 9500 and then put the big block ,stainless steel exhaust in ,I figure i've spent 16K on it.The green one I bought for 600 basically changed the oil in it for 12 years. So basically into it for 17K and got 11000 cash and A little car worth 2500.Now I have to find a blazer!!!

Re: sell off some toys?

You looking for a blazer project or a complete driver with no work required? I saw a couple here in BC for sale but both need a little work to be daily drivers/or to be put together. One's around $7gs and the other $12gs I think. Or you interested in buying from the states?

Re: sell off some toys?

Well that's typical up here where they are fairly rare. You guys have an abundance of trucks in the states. Lucky guys lol
