My Slow Build is going to begin...
Well I am finally in a place to start a little at a time. I have a jeep that needs work and a 72 blazer that takes attention. I have had this truck from my grandfather who passed away for over 2 year now and have not had chance to do anything to it. the motor is going to be the first thing replaced. So my plan is to build a decent HP 383 stroker. I have found a donor, motor and am pulling it out next week to start building the motor. I have about $1500 saved up for hte motor and since I am doing it in a college auto class I should be able to make it start. My goal is to build the motor this spring, then in may install it and start figuring all the other issues I may have. I hope to have it driving by july...
Here is my truck: I am not sure of my overal goal, but I want something that I can push the pedal on the right and feel like I have some power. It is a 2wd 3/4 long bed. Bought my grandpa to comp and run to the dump. I will get pictures of the donor motor and the motor process up this week as I plan on starting wednesday night.
