has anyone done or seen suicide doors and used the factory door handle in the stock spot, im thinking about doing it and making some custom linkage so i can pop the front open with the handle in the stock spot at the back of the door. any ideas???

Re: suicide door idea
well as my knowledge of working with customizing things as such. I am not to sure it would be of any use having the handle in the stock location with a backwards opening door (meaning hard to pull open). unless you add door poppers on the other end of the door to pop them open when you press on the button. or even use the handle as a dummy for just the stock looks and then use keyless entry just my thoughts.

Re: suicide door idea
It'd be cool if the button on the handle activated the door popper...just don't know how "anti-theft" proof that would be...

Re: suicide door idea
Actually that could be possible, mounting a button behind the stock door handle button, Activates the door to open. But also leave your stock door locks and use your key to unlock/lock the doors so then the only time the doors can be open is with it unlocked like normal.

Re: suicide door idea
my keyless entry kit came with two buttons that can be placed any where either for emergencies or on a center console and Etc. those may work for a great button for these for behind your stock door handle buttons in the door. Just for your info- my kit is from autoloc, if you go this rout and get a keyless entry to make sure they are heavy enough poppers for these heavy doors such as 50 lbs or more.
