Re: Jeffs70's Custom C-10 Build
Flowmaster score...nice! Guess we'll see that fiberglass job soon. Everyone is snowed in and needs something to ponder. We'll be getting some snow tomorrow and Friday, around 1-3 inches which is alot for here.

Re: Jeffs70's Custom C-10 Build
Thank you OARNGESI, I keep changing my mind on what I may do with my dash but I believe I will be continuing it just the way I am and put a TV/DVD Player in the glove box spot.

Re: Jeffs70's Custom C-10 Build
here are some updated pictures of my console I have been working on. This is my first fiberglass project. This is just my first layer of mesh and resin. Next will be the sides and then some removable panels I have shaped for the front, Then a few more layers of Mesh will be added and then that will be the finishing touches. I will have more Pictures as I go on this Console. I didnt expect me to use so much resin on this as I already have. so the next step is to go get me more (Getting a bulk 5Gallon Bucket this time)

We are all being patient to see the outcome on that console cause it looks awesome. Harrassment starts on Thursdays.

Re: Jeffs70's Custom C-10 Build
Hey everyone sorry about the delay on everything, I have not been working on my truck as much as I should be due to a family member passing. I hope to be getting back onto it in the next few days.

Re: Jeffs70's Custom C-10 Build
ok here is some updated pictures of my console as of now I have it fully fiberglassed and strong. Next step for it will be to smooth it out and a simple layer of fiberglass bondo to get a great shape. and create some fiberglass front panels to complete the covering of the hump

Re: Jeffs70's Custom C-10 Build
That does look good. Are your plans to cover or paint it to match the rest of the truck?

Re: Jeffs70's Custom C-10 Build
Thanks Slick,
I am going to cover just the bottom part of it from the outer curve to to the bottom with a Leather Type fabric or something in that thought. but the top will be painted the color of the truck later on.

Re: Jeffs70's Custom C-10 Build
Sick! I really like the contours. The core support looks great too. Wish they made a bolt-on that looked that good.

Quote:
On the core support cover it is actually bolted on but with bolts welded upside down. I thought that would be better then seeing bolts all the time. To get it off I will have to crawl under the bumper with a long socket but its much worth it I think because how often do I really need to take it off. also Alot dont know but I Need to take more pictures of the under side of that to show how my hood lever is attached with a cable that is just in the middle of the core support.

Re: Jeffs70's Custom C-10 Build
Yeah Definitely a Big Job that I was Debating on doing but love the look. as I dislike the ugly drip rails lmao. Thanks blazerboy Its not really as bad as It looks to do it. It took me maybe an hour for what I have done in the pictures to get correctly finished.

Re: Jeffs70's Custom C-10 Build
If doing this and wanting to save your windshield and windshield rubber make sure its not on the truck or you have a good way of protecting it. In my case I am not keeping either of the old windshield and rubber so it did not matter to me.

I'm taking a guess you did it with fiberglass, not really sure. How hard would it be to make one out of aluminum?
