need 70 k10 4x4 rear suspension info

hello im new here and new to this body style of trucks. this january i bought a 70 chevy 1/2 4x4 looks alright on the outside and inside but the suspension looks frankensteinish. when the weather breaks this spring id like to get the mess cleaned up. my question is when these trucks came from the factory did they have any blocks under the rear leaf springs to make it sit level. i believe i read somewhere that they did but i cant confirm this. any info on this would be great thank you

in 1970 some 4x4s had a little block in the rear from the factory . it's only about 3/4 inch if i remember correctly. i have/had a set out of a 3/4 ton 70 i parted many years ago. they still have the G.M. part number on them.

Re: need 70 k10 4x4 rear suspension info

thank you jerry for the info, i did a closer look at mine to day to find out that there are 2 chunks of 3/4 rectangle bar stock shoved under each side of the leafs. you can still see the saw marks on the edges. while looking today i found a mess of stuff wrong with the front suspension too. ill have to take some pics and post them tomorrow.

Re: need 70 k10 4x4 rear suspension info

in the first pic the front leaf is rubbing the frame back by the shackle. i dont think that those arms are the right length. are these the same length as the 73-87s. the second pic shows that there is a cut leaf/chunk of bar stock, under the front leafs. is that suppose to be there. and last of all does anybody know the length of the front leafs from center of bolt to center of bolt and how to tell if there stock leafs or lift ones
