1990 Burb destruction for a 72 build

So I bought a 1990 4x4 350tbi burb for a good price. I have plans to swap the tbi to my 72 3/4 ton truck. The burb is in exellent condition and every thing works likes like it should. I drove it two hours from pheonix to tucson with no problems except it got better mpg than my 71. I plan on robbing the wiring for the hole thing.
So my question is, What else can i take from it before i part it out. Thanks for the help

I'd take the serpantine setup too.

And, the power mirrors and front clip are worth some real bucks to 73-87 guys. They love that stuff for the earlier trucks.

I am not a 73-87 guy, but I think the doors and door panels work on the crew cab trucks too.

you can save the seats and roof rack to install onto 67-72 burbs and sell them also if your truck pull the driveline and transplant it under your truck it will help improve your mileage

The front clip or at least the grille and core support
The instrument cluster
The Steering column
Front seats and console
Possibly the fuel tank

Nice! That is a clean Suburban and a great source of parts. Whatever you don’t use you should have no problem getting rid of such as the mirrors, etc as Tx Firefigher said.

I bought a wrecked clean low mileage 1990 G-van a few years ago for a powertrain swap into my old ’72 C20. Very similar to what you are doing. That thread might give you some ideas as what to keep.

Re: 1990 Burb destruction for a 72 build

Thanks dirtylarry good source of info. So i was thinking of gutting the burb and using the hole wire harness for lights ect. Dont know how well it will work.
Also the tranny is 4x4 so im gonna have to have it changed for 2wd or find a new one. I started looking at the hole wiring and its a cluster all factory though.
