Rear axle ID Please
72 1/2 ton 2wd GMC chassis with leaf spring rear. Axle is stamped:
KKA 315 I (I think it's an I) What is this? TIA

I kinda thought TIA was something else, look for letters starting in "R" I dont see any "K" codes for any of the 67-72 years

Hollanders shows KAA as a 3.07 non-posi 12 bolt out of a 74-79 C-10. KKA is a 3.73 14 bolt non-posi used in a 74 C-20 and 81-83 C-30. Since you said it was in a 1/2 ton it must be the 3.07. It doesn't show how a 74-79 rear ended up in a 72 GMC. Hope this helps.
