bigs n littles

I found a set of 15x6.5 van rally wheels and i'm wondering what size tire would look best on the front and rear. If i buy these i will try to find some 15x10 truck rally's for the rear. Truck has a 2.5" front drop with a 4" rear drop.

Re: bigs n littles

as big as you want! On the 71 we found a junk set of 31x10.5 for test fit and they were just what we wanted.

Re: bigs n littles

Dale, did you buy 4 6.5 inch rallies. If so I'm interested in buying the other two for the front of mine.I'm gonna run 29x14.5s quick time pros on 15 x11 in the rear.

Re: bigs n littles

I have 3. But the guy that has them has them posted on craigslist for $75. And i think he has 4 left. I talked him down to $10 apiece. Type in rally or ralley, can't remember how he had them posted...

Re: bigs n littles

I have a 1970 gmc with a 16" wide rim with a 31/10.5w/15 under it with a stock width rear end. The only thing I did is install a wheel tub and a custom offset rim 10" to the inside.

Probably a dumb question, but I've never under stood tires and rims to well. How does your 10.5 inch wide tire fit on a 16 inch wide rim?

Re: bigs n littles

I believe that 10.5W tire is over 15 inches wide.

That is the largest tire we can run in our class and by putting it on that wide of wheel you are blowing out the sidewall put the max down on the track
