Yes, I read the FAQ, and followed the directions, but nothing happened.

Can I post a picture from my computer, or do I need to put it somewhere on the web or what?

The photo can be no larger than 640pixels and must be either a gif, jpg png, bmp or jpeg. Hit the "browse" button and locate the file on your computer. Then hit "Submit Reply". If the file is too large or incorrect, you will get an error message.

The other way to do it is to post the photos to a picture hosting website and then use ([img] photolocation [/img]).

Check out the FAQ's if my explaination doesn't make sense. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/m...?s=&action=faq

Well, the image tag didn't work. it is [img] to open the tag or you can use "IMG" button and locate the URL.

I still can't get it.

I type in the text in the main box, and then hit browse.

Then, I select my image from "My Pictures" on my computer

The image's description comes up in the little box next to the browse button. I hit submit.

The message only has the text, without the image attached.

My image I'm trying to use is 640x480 jpeg 108kb

I'm an idiot, someone please take pity on me and offer some help.

Thanks,
Kevin

E-mail the photos to me and I'll post them. It sounds like your doing everything right to me. - chris@imageink.com

Here is your picture... The file was too large (came to me as 900K). I opened it in photoshop and saved it as a lower quality jpg which brought the file size down to 92K.

This will make your file size smaller so it will work. I open my picture in paint. Then go to Image pull down, then to stretch/skew. Type 75 or a smaller # in the first two blanks (stretch: horiz and vert) Then pull down menu again .. Image then attribute if both #'s are under 640 you should be good. If they aren't under 640 try step one again. Then go to file and save as and save the picture to your computer( I put it on the desktop so I can find it easily) Then make sure that is the file you browse to when you are typing your new thread. It works for me everytime.

The image he sent me was the right number of pixels (640 by four something) but the file was almost a meg. Not sure why it was that large, but I was able to reduce the file size with ImageReady.
