Re: 71 fenders

Will they fit...yes....

....but the hood won't fit and the grille wouldn't look right with them. They have a different slant at the front and have an extension at the front to "capture" the outer grille where the 67/68 grille fits between the fenders...not over the front of them...

It looks like your 68 is complete.
why would you want to put 71 fenders on it?

Re: 71 fenders

I posted a similar topic today. basically what I have learned so far is that if you use 71 fenders, you will need a 71 or 72 grill with the surrounding chrome and support which I doubt will work with the 68 hood. my front clip is good off of my 71 and so far I have only changed hoods with the 68 (we have opposite taste, I like the 71 hood better than the 68). The hood works fine but their is a big gap between the top of the grill and the hood which means I need to change the front which in turn means I need to change the fenders. sorry I probably am not helping at all but basically what I am saying is that it is either all 68 or all 71 for the front clip. mixing and matching does not really work. could easily be wrong though.

Re: 71 fenders

it'll bolt on, but it won't look right at all.

Re: 71 fenders

you can actually change the front edge of the hood to mate up....but it's a LOT of work
