Talking 67 Slant Back Wrecker....MINE!

Went and picked it up yesterday, drove it home (about 70 miles) with no problems, brakes need bleed but ran good and drove great. Could be the coolest truck I've ever driven....this thing is bad-ass!
The Truck Gods have smiled upon me again my friends.
More later,
Reno

I'm glad you got it. I think you did good. It looks like that's a Dooley pickup rear, really fills out those wheel wheels nicely. Does it still have drums up front? I'd like to see a dual wheel C/30 disc front end up under that. Then you can use those simulators...oh,and better brakes,it will look more like a 1t,and...

I have enough parts to make it more road-worthy and dress it up a little for now. Quick list of things to do:
1. Bleed the brakes
2. Put the correct motor stands on it and new mounts
3. Install the correct fan & shroud
4. Put the headers off my Custom Camper on it
5. Put the seats out of my 70 GMC in it
6. Adjust the trans linkage
7. Go thru the wiring and maybe put one of my other guage clusters in it
8. Replace the door panels (I've got good unmolested ones)
9. Wash it and take it to the first local show
10. Yes MrDowns..I will relace the fuel lines with metal...thanks.

I'm going to paint a good throw-back logo on the door and wheather it correctly. Thats all for now....can have most of this done in the next 2 weeks or so.
I really love this truck and feel very, very lucky to own it.
My girlfriend named it "Mad Max"

Thanks, I've got the complete front disk setup from my 72 Custom Camper, not sure about compatability but...
Didn't have a lot of time to go over it last night but EVERYTHING underneath looks like it came on it. The duel rear wheels, springs and rear end all look original. More later

Yes, also has a spigot on the driver's side right in front of the rear tire and provisions for a water tank. Also plenty of room for a generator.

Can you take a close photo of the ignition switch? It looks like a 68-later style bezel, yet the cab is a small window. Could be my eyes playing tricks...

There is a pile of parts in one of the stowage bins...guage cluster, light and wipper switch and maybe an ignition switch too. I'll take more pics when I get home. It is a real 67!
Thanks for all the input..I have a lot to learn here, this is my first 67.
