What year shifter handle?
I got an auto column out of a parts truck a few years back and don't remember what year it was. I ordered a 71-72 handle which is too fat for the hole. I have gathered that there is a different one for 67-68, 69-70, and 71-72. So my column has to be a 67-68 or 69-70 which ever has the skinny hole. you can see the difference in the pics thanks

Re: What year shifter handle?
I got one out of a 72 to replace the one in my 70 and I had to grind it down to fit into my column. The chrome one in your pics is like the one I had to grind down. I later put an automatic column out of a 68 in it and the shift lever fit the same as the 70. So I would say that 67-70 is one style and 71-72 is the larger one.
