Yes I noticed that as well. Considering there is not much weight on it in the pictures and the shackle is already pointing rearward. I wonder what it's position will be with the weight of the box on it.

With the wt on the spring the shackle is moved to the rear at a 30 degree angle.

I did the math, assuming you have a 50" spring that has a arch that is 4" deep with a 30 degree shackle, it will take 3" of suspension up travel to make the shackle lay at a 62 degree angle. That is 28 degrees away from flat, and it will seriously bind the spring because the spring will have to pull the shackle back forward in a direction that it does not have the mechancial advantage. At that angle the shackle only has to travel .46" backwards to go full horizontal.
