I think these were a '72 model item. The '72's came to us with new horsepower and torque ratings, to comply with the government regulations which changed from BHP (Brake Horse Power @ the flywheel) to SAE Net (@ the rear wheels).
So, the manufacturers dreamed up ways of making a vehicle that seemingly didn't have the previous years' performance, at least look like it had something going, even if it didn't physically enhance the performance. It's called HYPE. The old saying that I grew up with, "If you can't make it run, make it loud", apparently also applied to paint jobs and decals. But, it won't be cheap.
