made some good progress today

like i say, made some excellent progress today, got the box all together minus the tailgate, it still needs some work, its looking good but the back needs to be lowered about 2-3"....what is the cheapest and easyest way to do this, its a 71 leaf rear frame....Derek

Hey derek, is there by any chance a purple blazer driving around your town that you know of. I was talking to a guy who said he saw one at a car show down here. He said it was really nicely done up and the guy was from Kelowna. Any idea?

Take the leafs off and take them to a spring shop. Tell them how many inches you want it dropped. Usually costs me about 110-125 dollars total, including all new spring eye bushings. They always get the drop to within a 1/4 inch of what I asked for.

damn randy, i wish i could post pics but i didnt have a digi camera, next weekend ill try and get some, that pic you posted of yours a couple weeks ago sorta looked like where im at, its coming along though, cant wait till its on the road...oh on another note, right now i have just junker wheels and tires on it and the fronts are 235 75 15's...i love the amount of sidewall with the lower front end, do you guys thinkg 75 or 70 series tires are too goofy? i even was pondering the idea of 70 or 75 series tires on the back, can you even get 295 70/75 15's?

295 70's would be one big tire! As much as I hate posting my Model A on the board Here's what a 285 70 looks like (rear tires)
