Angry The problems never end.....

Today was supposed to be THE day. Bought some mags and tires and put them on. Found one side of rim rubbing against spindle. Grinded spindle down problem solved. Now have to go through Aircare (vehicle emissions testing, $24 test fee). Waiting in line and truck overheats ( damn not properly closed cap). Go back to Aircare and wait. Go through aircare and FAIL...big time. Go find a mechanic who knows how to deal with a carb. Go to mechanic and he adjusts my carb to the smallest jets he had (FREE). He said to try Aircare again because he thought they had it set close enough to pass. Go through Aircare again (another $24 paid) and fail again (just barely this time). GO back to mechanic and he says they'll fix it on Monday. Insurance permit runs out on Sunday so decide to leave truck there. He says it's probably overheating because I have no fan shroud. Gotta hit the junkyard for electric fans. At least I got a ride home from the mechanics son. What pisses me of the most though, I have to pay the AIRCARE fee AGAIN!!!!!! 3 x $24.....GRRRR.....at least everyone says my truck rocks...

Almost forgot....Plus I ran out of gas...Just managed to literally roll into gas station... This truck just makes me laugh now

Man! It must really suck to live where emissions are an issue!:p
I pay $5 for an inspection sticker and all I really need is enough glass left on the windshield to stick it to!

Enough bragging, seriously I hope you pass it this time!

Inspection was on last wednesday. $75 at least the mecahic was nice enough to tell me the the things to fix so he didn't have to fail it. Plus he fixed a couple of little things. Parts and labour... $350.

Clean oil helps tremendously as well. Change the oil immediately before getting the inspect (same day).

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

We had emissions testing here for 10 years. Then the Fed money ran out, so the State closed em up!!! Run em any way you want now, but the Feds are looking at pulling other grants to get the State to comply again!

Well remind me never to move to British Columbia.

Here anything pre-72 just have to have a safety inspection. Make sure you lights, signals, horn work basically.

Good luck.

Definetly change the oil, sparkplugs, and get some good gas before you go the next time.
