You will have to shorten the drive shaft. Did you have a one piece drive shaft or two? You should be able to use a one piece drive shaft with the short bed. Brake lines will be too long and the intermediate emergency brake cable will be too long. You will have to get one for a short bed. LockDoc

Here ya go. This build thread covers the conversion from lwb to swb. It was done by a very knowledgable builder on the forum. He is very informative and would answer questions.

Re: lwb to swb convertion (gettin all info now means no WTF later!!!)
If you're a real 67/72 junkie you drive which everyone suits you that day.As for the drive shaft your longbed is two piece.Your drive shaft will depend on your engine trans combo and location.bb swb is two piece. sb swb can be two or one piece, 6cyl swb is one piece.6cyl is shorter that sb.you can install sb on 6cyl frame towers reversed and swapped sides.you can then use 6cyl driveshaft and trans linkage.this will set the engine and trans back about 7'' from stock sb location.you will also need longer 6cyl or 4x4 speedo cable .hei distributor cap will sit 1/4 from firewall with good cab mounts and everything lined up right.truck will ride and handle much better at high speed and will also launch much better out of the hole because of weight transfer. You will need 4x4 fan shroud in this position if not using electric fan. This is my prefered setup.
