Brake booster ruined???????
I need some help.
I am adding brake fluid to the small chamber in the master cylinder often. No signs of leaks anywhere. I unbolted the master cylinder from the booster and fluid ran out. Questions: 1. Can the fluid be sucked thru the booster vacuum line and burned in the engine(loss of fluid)? If true, any thing I need to do to lines...ect...that came in contact with the fluid? 2. Can I replace the master cylinder and leave the booster alone? Will the brake fluid in the booster harm the booster. Thanks in advance.. Tim

Re: Brake booster ruined???????
Yes the brake fluid will harm the booster. You might get away with just replacing the master cylinder for now, but the brake fluid will eventually shorten the life of the booster. If this were mine, I would do both at the same time.
