If you have it, lets see it!
I've heard talk about tach dashes, from factory, existing for straight six applications. I just havent seen it. Is there such a thing and if so how can I get one? What would be the mod? This would really be cool to have.

Re: If you have it, lets see it!
If youve seen any tach dash for these model trucks ,you have seen what the tach for a six looks like. the only difference is an ink stamp 6 or 8 on the back of the tach, to distinguish between 6 cyl and v8 applications.

You can't tell by looking at the front. If the back is mechanical drive, it is for a diesel, otherwise originally it was ink stamped 6 or 8 cyl. Sometimes that ink stamp is worn off however.

Ok, just wanted to see if it was true. All I see are V8 applications and thought it would be more useful for those low winding I6's.

Yep, as mentioned they are out there and look the same as the V8 tachs except for the stamp on the back....but they're pretty rare and demand a premium.
