buddy bucket cupholder
Anyone customize their buddy buckets with a cupholder? I was thinking this would be a good idea, but I haven't seen it.

Re: buddy bucket cupholder
Itook a cupholder off of a newer truck seat set[99-07] and will bolt it to the front of the center box with a couple of 1/4 inch bolts or something of similar size. I have had it all mocked up it looks good. Jim

Re: buddy bucket cupholder
I put a pair of flip out cup holders on mine ,they need a little refining .They came off of a Foose Ball game table that was being trashed .I cant post pics but I will be glad to get some and have my wife E-Mail them to someone to post if they volunteer their E-Mail address by PM.

Re: buddy bucket cupholder
So Hart_Rod has one on the front of the lower section. I was looking for one that was built into the back of the upper section. That way, when you fold down the center section into an arm rest you have a cup holder.

I only looked at the first page of his build. I have to look further.

Bingo. I was looking in his truck build. That looks like a suburban.

Re: buddy bucket cupholder
This is not my truck but a pic I have saved from someone on the board. Hope they don't mind me posting it. I think it looks great. I would do the same thing if I ever get a set of buddy buckets.

Re: buddy bucket cupholder
The cup holders look great in the back of the buddy seat but I think that they would be much easier to use in front of the seat for two reasons. My elbow, which would want to rest on the seat back when folded down would be hitting and probably spilling my coffee. Secondly, it is clumsy to reach a cup in that position as opposed to a cup in front of the seat. Just my opinion.

Just for reference here is a picture of Rob's (Hart_Rod) cupholder mounted to his buddy buckets that are mounted in his '68 supercharged truck. I don't recall where he got them, but his build thread is below for a reference. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=358692

Re: buddy bucket cupholder
All, thanks for the props on the cup holders. Both sets of cupholders came from a boat supply place. I'm sure there are other options out there that will work as well. If anyone has anymore questions or wants any pictures, let me know.
