85ish Sub
I am looking at an 80 something Sub with a 454/700R4 drive train. I know the front cross member will swap with a 70 GMC, so will the BB motor mounts/stands swap too? Or do they need modded?
Second, after watching Drew's Frankenstein build, I wonder if the 80's HVAC unit could be shoehorned into a 70. What do you guys think? Aftermarket units are not an option. I need the fresh air intake for winter driving.

Re: 85ish Sub
Yes you can use the later model motor mounts. I actually prefer those when doing a conversion as they are a much better designed motor mount. If the Burb is a C10, you may need to install a small spacer between the top of the frame and the bracket. But you may be able to get away without one too. If the Burb is a C20, the motor mount bracket will be a little shorter and will be a better fir to the '70 frame. With either one you will likely need to drill a couple of holes in the top flange of the frame.

Re: 85ish Sub
Thanks! That is just the info I need. I would be going into a 70 C1500.
