hmm, I know everyones been talking of a truck of the week, or month. I think this one will be truck of the month for the end of August. Anyone want ot volunteer to set up a post/poll for the truck of the month to have in september?

here's how they do it on the s10 boards:
1) people nominate trucks by a deadline (usually a board member's truck) 2) a poll is put up with pics/mods etc in the thread 3) the votes are tallied and they become the truck of the month for the following month. and repeat. at the end of the year, the s10forum.com makes a calendar of the trucks. jay

I met Ken last year at a local car show in Rowlett. Alot of the work he said him and his dad did. The motor I believe came out of a vette from a junkyard and only had 18,00 miles on it. The center console is out of a firebird with some mods. I think he has a vintage air on the inside along with the computer and harness. He hand crafted the arm rests on the doors with power windows and locks. This is one of the best trucks I personally have seen. As far as Ken the owner well he was awsome great guy. I talked to him about his truck and asked questions about mine and he answered all of them. The best part was when the show was over he gave me a ride around the block. Man that was a blast especially when he got on it and barked second. i've never been in a truck that rode on air you just cant beat it. Well he does drive alot but he has other projects hes working on now to bad I forgot what htey where. Jim

I believe it came from a firebird but some of it he fabricated. The look and finish is great its totally comfortable inside. Jim

We'll I finally received word my truck was on this site and there were some questions. Let me first say I really appreciate all the kind words everybody has said about my truck. As everybody knows this is why we spend so much time and money on these hobbies. I will try to answer some of the questions asked in previous discussions. The brake booster is from master power and brakes and is 7". However I will warn anybody who buys this unit make sure you get a bore size of 1.25 if running rear discs also. I found this out the hard way. Also the seats are from a 96 chevy truck fullsize. The console is custom built with .125 aluminum but the shifter is from a 96 trans am. The suspension is air bagged with 2 1/2 drop spindles up front. The rear end is stock with a disc brake conversion. The a/c unit is from vintage air and is the street rod version otherwise if you use the unit made for these trucks you can't use the nice firewall bulkhead. The unit is compact and barely noticeable under the dash. Some other info on this truck is the gas tank is 11 gauge stainless custom built to achieve 24 gallon capacity and is under the rear of the truck. The wheels are budnik Tiller style 18's all around. The exhaust is a single 3" with borla muffler. The motor is indeed a 96 LT1 with the 4L60E tranny and had 13,000 miles when purchased from a wreck vette.
One last thing as others have said this truck is not a trailer queen and recently went 1500 miles along the Hot Rod Power Tour. As of this date the truck has 3200 miles and does even see the rain occasionally. If anybody has any questions feel free to ask. I will watch this board from now one. I just realized I didn't answer all the questions. Let me try again. The center console as said earlier is custom built using a 96 trans am shifter and the glove box is from a 2000 chevy truck and so is the drink holder. The fuse box cover is indeed hiding all the wires from the painless harness. This cover was hand made. The carbon fiber some have asked is along the side in the original trim. It's actually real carbon fiber bought from a distributor in California. I poured (literally) clear over the carbon fiber and sanded and buffed it like you do a paint job. A real pain in the a?? but a really neat effect. A bit more detailed info on the brake booster. If you decide to do this you will have to purchase the whole hanging pedal assy also. It goes in pretty easy but will require a different emergency brake. I used an electric one. The truck was built at home with the help of my dad and friends. The only work farmed out was the stitching of the interior. It was done by a local guy in Forney.
If anybody is doing a truck like this and needs more detailed info let me know. I will be happy to discuss specifics over the phone. Once again I appreciate all the kind remarks.

I can only just dream =P Being as poor as I am, that'll take a while, then again, I'm only 16, so I got a couple years yet, for all I know I will find a different truck I like better for a good price and buy it instead
