Re: 1979 chevy c20 winchester special edition

If it's 4x4 it's a K20, not C20. I'd look on Chuck's Chevy Truck for specs on it, they have just about every random model GM ever made for this body style. Can't say I've ever heard of one though. Good luck.

Re: 1979 chevy c20 winchester special edition

Winchester trucks was a company out of Ritzville, Washington. In the late 80s and early 90s they took 73-80 GM trucks, blazers and suburbans and restored them from the ground up and sold them with warranties. Every thing was new except the cab, frame and axles, everything else was rebuilt or brand new. The body parts were new GM sheet metal and the drivtrains were new GM engines and transmissions. I still see a few running around spokane. The "winchester special edition" is NOT a GM edition.

Hi, i just noticed this. 86454k30 got it. I have one 1973 c10 stepside Scotsdale here in Sweden. It vas totally restored in 1989 by Winchester, I have a framed original truck order from Winchester Truck Corporation. The garantee came from GM, "lifetime", including akmost every thing, like the waterpump (I have to change mine next week, I'l just paint it first). The original engine was the relativly rare 307 smallblock, they installed a 350. As fare as I've figured out it's an engine older than 1986 (crate-engine)
I also have a framed original letter signed by the President o Winchester, telling that the original owner purchased the truck in 1973 for a certain price, and that Winchester replaced the exact unit for the same price!
All the best

Re: 1979 chevy c20 winchester special edition

The latest model of chevy looks incredible. It is a monster truck, just wondering if the engine of your truck is functioning well. People planning to get good bargains on spam url removed by staff, or perhaps a GMC, should get to a car dealership before the end of Oct. GM made a few too many pickups, and for that reason wants to get rid of as many as possible.

Re: 1979 chevy c20 winchester special edition

Holy CRAP! I grew up in Othello, WA and I don't think I've EVER seen one of these trucks...that is, if they look any different. Nor have I heard of the company in Ritzville.
