it seals against the hood forming a "box" around the filter...allowing only directed "cold" air in.

Re: Finally "Silvers" build thread!! ('78 swb 2wd silverado)

thanks guys! and yes thats the design plan on the heat shield.... i had to modify it a little to make it work waiting on the hinges and painter now. then its onto exhaust

i was going to get another video driving up and down my street but on my 1st attempt a cop was sitting on the corner! he had a group of people he was talking to and EVERYONE just turned and stared then started waving as i made the U-turn! i just waved back like sitting on a milk crate with open headers and no doors was normal and proceeded to my house straight into the garage and closed the door! he never came down looking for me

I will never understand why people butcher the doors to run speakers...there are so many other options.

HAPPY EASTER GUYS!! i got a little done after work today. i've been sanding down and smoothing the black A/C box and getting ready for paint. i also started looking at the doors again and decided to take a wire wheel to the jambs... i got off all the extra seam sealer from the factory so they will be nice and smooth! just waiting to get them painted now.

I had to cut an access hole in the 74's driver door to allow disassembling the window regulator. It was bound up big time & I couldn't get it out w/o using a pry-bar from under it. I figured, might as well place it so it's easy to fill.

It did suck to cut the pass door just to match when there wasn't an absolute need.

Nice work Dennis.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

All this time I thought it was for sonic excellence. Works great for what I listen to, though.

Dennis, you done yet?
