Need help---Pic request---Heater control help
Ok so my dad bought an Old Air kit and claims that I took his heater controls apart and started to rebuild it. Suffice to say that I don't recall ever taking HIS heater control apart, but since parts are missing......I ofcourse get the blame. Whatever...not really the issue to tackle at the moment.
I have all the heater control pieces except the pin that connects all 3 levers and allows them to pivot. I can't find anywhere that sells a rebuild kit with this pin in it. Now the request: Can someone post a pic of what the back of the control, specifically the pivot pin, looks like. Also any ideas for making a substitute? |

I've been playing around with mine recently and have not connected the cables back up yet. I'll get pics tonight when I get back home.

I've been there. I think it's just the way dads roll. I have found myself doing the same now that I'm a dad.

Re: Need help---Pic request---Heater control help
Lol yeah. I think I recall being there when we both took the control apart, but I can't say. The mind seems to fog after a while haha. But at least we aren't mad about it. Just one of those things where I wanna fix it before he has a chance to get upset about it. I'll put it this way. The control face will be fixed long before he needs it

@ Daddy Brim
those pics are exactly what I was looking for. I am putting his control back together with new levers and wasn't 100% sure how the pin would be held in. Thanks. Now that LockDoc has me hooked up then I will be in business soon |

Yeah, yeah, you probably used them for wire cutters on your truck... Chris: In the pictures notice that the metal clip slides over the bracket before the pin goes through it. LockDoc

Re: Need help---Pic request---Heater control help
I'm not at home this weekend, but I spoke to dad today and the part arrived in the mail as promised! Thanks again so much Leon! I really appreciate the gesture and hope that someday I can pass the goodwill on. Don't hesitate to ask if you ever need anything I could possibly help with
