Cherry square

I went to our local cruise in a couple weeks back and stumbled across this old square body. It was owned by a 70 to 75 yr old man that said hes owned it for the last 25+ years and that he hasnt changed nothing on it since hes owned it. I just thought for its age it has held up well including the paint.

Clean! I really dig those body colored molded mudflap/flare dealeos behind each wheel. Never seen anything like that before. That slimline bed cover is groovy as well.

A tired warrior of the 1980s in a world of low profile tires, front wheel drive, and plastic bumpers, where people stay in their houses until snowplows move the offending substance from their paths, too helpless to travel without AAA and chains and salt, clearing their windows with longhandled brushes while gently stepping around in the snow trying to stay nice and dry.

Re: Cherry square

The old man that owned it went to South Carolina where they manufactured the bed covers to pick one up for his ford, he said he fell in love with the Chevy which belonged to the owner of the top manufacturer and ended up driving Chevy home. The bed of the truck has some kind of fancy carpet that covers everything and they used it to demo the tops.

Re: Cherry square

I don't get the Historical plate on a square body. I'm older than that!

since I'm in California mybe I can talk the legislature into Historical driver plates for us Old Farts. It could be a money maker for the state, and thay like money. They like it so much they spend what they don't have! See what happens when you have a popular vote buy environmentalist wacks.
