Rear Drop question

i got 4.5 drop on front and 5 drop coils on back. It has too much of a rake, even with my bed on and tailgate (no wood in yet) and it still sits way to high in rear (with 5 inch drop coils). What else can i do on back to bring it down some more?

Re: Rear Drop question

Blocks and new Ubolts. 1.5 or 2" should be fine.

Re: Rear Drop question

You would figure a 5 inch drop on back would be pretty significant, guess on these older trucks it isn't so as much when i did my 96 truck. thx grumpy

Re: Rear Drop question

What size wheel do you plan to run? If you are sticking with 15's be aware that you don't want a 2" block. Anything more than a 1.5" will create scrubline concerns.

Re: Rear Drop question

Here is how the rear sits now. It has 5 inch coils on back but still too high from rear, almost looks stock from rear since front is so low. I have a c-notch on back and there is 7 inch between notch and axle. So with 2 inch blocks i would still have almost 5 inch between axles and bump stops.

Re: Rear Drop question

Early Classic Enterprise has a 6" drop coil. Pair this with 1.5" blocks (2" with bigger wheels) and you should be sitting just right...

Re: Rear Drop question

i don't think you got 5in drop springs on the back! i got 3in drop springs and 2in. drop blocks and a c-notch on mine and the bottom lip of the bed is 12in off the ground! i think i have about 4-5in. between the rearend and the frame! i also have 17's on my truck
