Not the door panel screws, but what they screw into
I just purchased some new door panels for my 67 and it's been awhile since I had taken off the old stock door panels. I didn't realize there were clips with threads within the door where the door panel "screws"are screwed in. I seem to be missing a few of these clips and won't be able to install the panels until I replace them. Any vendors that sell these? I've checked Brothers,GMCPauls and LMC and didn't come acrossed any.
Thanks! |

Cool, Im going to be needing some of these in the near future. I'll support a board vendor and order from classic heartbeat as well.

Re: Not the door panel screws, but what they screw into
If you're talking about the bottom 4 screws that hold the panels in place, I used license plate screws from my local Autozone. I found ones with plastic square nuts that fit perfectly in place of the metal ones. On my rig, the screws were rusted in, and I decided to just hit the hole nut out rather than deal with trying to get the screws out. Looks good to me!

As stated, these can be bought at any auto parts store....autozone, oreillys, etc.

Re: Not the door panel screws, but what they screw into
Assumeing your talking about the sqaure metal nuts that are pressed in the doors for the 4 bottom screws. The 69 I just finished hade a couple missing so I just took some of those white square plastic license plate pop in clips and snapped in the square holes in the door then ran a tap in them for the screws. I also did this for the armrest.
