Re: ebay strikes again

Reminds me of my first conversation with the auctioneer that eventually sold me my 72. They had it listed as 6500 original miles with only 3300 miles on the rebuilt motor!

Re: ebay strikes again

Looks like a pretty nice truck to me. Am I missing something on the ebay ad - I don't see a "reserve not met" on the current $2700+ bid. Wonder if it is going to go cheap or if interested parties are sandbagging. Think I'll watch it just for the heck of it.

Re: ebay strikes again

Great price if it actually sold and traded hands. Can't even get a decent paint job for 5K.

wonder if they did sell it at that price? Shocked since the craigslist ad was for 9500...

Re: ebay strikes again

I think if it sold for $5000 it was several thousand below market value for a truck that was low mileage and is essentially done. Decent body and paint work would cost more than that. Someone got a good deal if it is as nice as it looks. Hope iit's a board member so we can see some more pics.

Re: ebay strikes again

Looks like a 125,000 mile truck to me. I've had them look that good at that mileage (125,000) with original paint and seat cover, which this one doesn't have. The rear bumper, mirrors, and even hubcaps all suggest it's been refurbished to me. I'd say it went for what it was worth.

Re: ebay strikes again

If you waited 4 years for "the right one" and did all that work, why sell now? Looks like a decent truck, but I'm still a little suspicious.

Re: ebay strikes again

Zero % chance that is a super low mile truck! Steering wheel, pedal pads, scratches under the key, etc. Not a bad looking truck.
