New to old wheel interchange.

I found a set of 99 GMC wheels I would like for my 70 since I have an almost new set of 16" tires. I have a set of 99 Z71 wheels and already know the center needs to be turned for the larger hub. I tried a stock lug nut and it seems to almost fall into the hole. An aftermarket lug nut seems to fit better. Since 99 models have metric lugs, what has been done to make sure the wheel doesn't fall off? Conversion lug nuts? What other considerations are there? Is the offset so much that I would need spacers?

Thanks.

Re: New to old wheel interchange.

depending on what wheel you have, it can go from looking bad (tucked in too much) all the way to not being able to turn the wheels.
