New project arrived today

Well, got home from work and shortly afterward my new project arrived. I just bought this from Jim_Pa. Pretty much a good starter truck, dont get me wrong it needs some work, but you should have seen my 70. Anyway its a 68 50th LWB, has a Arizona box on it and had a 6.0 and t56 already installed just a matter of re-doing the drivetrain ..again. So I'm thinking of making a tribute 50th(kinda a sleeper) Except doing satin black to replace the white on the paint and the new camaro champagne for the gold. Same paint scheme though...and of course it will be LS powered and have a t56 in it. let me know what you think?

I've thought about that too, except doing a slight pearl to the white.

Thank you, I think what you guys are saying goes with the sleeper factor. Guess I just want to put a twist on the 50th. I think they should have made one black and gold. Should have the photoshop guys do a rendering of just to see if it's something I would like. Just slightly lower with poverty caps and black steelies.....hint...hint...

Re: New project arrived today

Just to give an idea why I want to go this route is most people do not know what they are actually looking at. My 70 for instance is Hyperion with black in the center and on the roof. If you see the truck at a show or on the highway it "looks" triple black. If you really look its more deep plum with metal flake. People see what they want to, and if I do it right everyone will find what they like. I kind of like playing mind games with colors. Guess it's the artist in me.

This is the part of the hobby I like - putting my own touch on things. I think you've got a good plan in the works.

I like the original paint with the Pearl idea, but I'm a sucker for Pearl paintjobs.
