That first truck's tonneau cover would get you some jail time and a hefty fine around here!

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

Some new additions to my family.......lol

Parts truck that I picked up for $300 and it had a 3/5 Belltech drop in it, good dash pad, and 2 good bench seats, and eventually will make a sweet matching dually trailer...lol. Plus scrap price and some msc good parts. Floors and pillers were rotted...

88 CCSRW, 350TBI, T400/205, D60/14FF, going to be a short box SRW conversion...

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

I dont know, looks to me like the truck held it's own pretty well, and stopped the tree. Try that with a new truck.

Big tree limb fell on my 82 last winter, putting a tiny ding in the roof at the back, and a ding in the rear fender. Large tree fell across the back of the bed of my 97 last year, almost hit me and it would have killed me. Insurance totalled the truck but I bought it back, put a new bed on it (which I already had and was going to replace anyway). Insurance had to total it because building a complete new bed cost more than the $6000 value they gave it, and they were unable to source a useable used bed anywhere in the new england states. Fortunately they didn't look under the tarp in my yard ;>

Anyway, when a truck takes a hit like mine did, it made me want to keep it even more, I think it saved my life. Course then I smashed the new bed up plowing and ended up selling the truck to a friend a few months later. I only sold it because he begged me and I wanted it to go to a good home. So then he changed his mind and sold it a month later.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

It totaled the canopy. The hood, grill, & fender are trashed but it still does its job, drives like it always did. you cant keep a good chevy down........
