Re: 350 cui with a TH400?

If the motor is a 400 sbc it will have a section notched out of the harmonic balancer

TH350 tranny pan is basically square;Th400 is irregular
TH350 has cable kick down;Th400 is electric

400 engine was available w th350 or th400 ...as was 350

GVW and towing package determined trans choice....except all 454 were th400

The tranny is a 400, but look at the balancer for the groove or run the numbers.

Re: 350 cui with a TH400?

there is also a gm 375 trans that is a cousin to the 400, the pan etc. is similar to the 400. The tail shaft is similar to a 350 turbo. I had one in a parts truck i thought it was a 400 until closer inspection.

But they were in the 80s, not this style of truck. But anything is possible, this ones looks like it has early 80s manifolds on it.
