Frame Width Differences?
I have been looking at a 20 gallon suburban tank conversion for my '72 3/4 ton 4X4. The tanks are listed as 29" wide. The distance between the bottom frame lip at the back is about 27 1/2". Are 4X4's different? My truck was equipped with a heavy rear spring option. Does this make a difference?

Re: Frame Width Differences?
Can somebody at least measure the distance between the bottom lips of the frame rail at the back so I know if mines different (I think it is).

Re: Frame Width Differences?
The frame's the same width. Measured the tank in a 3/4 ton Sub rolling chassis I've got here.
The main shape of the tank is 26", however, the overall width is 29" including the welded flange, which goes under the frame rail. In other words, yes, it will fit.
