Re: Towing????

As long as it has stock tires it should work, I used them a couple of times to move mine.

Re: Towing????

Towed my 69 Shortbed C10 Home on a full Uhaul car hauler. Fit perfect and it worked great. I told em that was the truck I was picking up and they said it works fine according to thier system as well. I was doing 65+/- with it with no problems. Honestly I think some of there trailers are better than the backyard car trailer builders I have seen. I did tie it down with some of my own extra straps too.

Re: Towing????

i wonder if they said it would fit because it was a swb. So many guys have said it wouldn't fit according to U haul but maybe they had lwb trucks. Also, the swaying will be worse with a lwb since you have more weight to the rear of the trailer.

Yes, this site is a good one.

Yes, this site is a good one.
I work for Uhaul corporate, we have updated alot of our systems for vehicle sizes over the past year, and i can confirm that every 67-72 chevy truck made up to a 4x4 c20 longbed will fit our trailer. Now, alot of times a towing combo is turned down not because of the truck going on the trailer, but due to the weight and towing capacity of the vehicle pulling it.

As for swaying, sway is caused by not enough tongue weight, if you get swaying with one of our car haulers, and the car is on the trailer correctly (not backed onto the trailer) then your ball is most likely to far off the ground, and you need a drawbar with more drop on it, to get the nose of the trailer correctly angled down.

Would need a bigger tow vehicle, combined weight of the c10 + our trailer would exceed 5000 pounds
