Re: 383 stealth ram and 700r4 swap

So engine and trans swap is done exhast turned out good and installed soft top after work last night. Btw the instuctions for these things might as well be in spanish for me they dont help at all and the self tapping scews for header are more like self distructing have to go to a boat shop and get some more. Also think i want to move side rails out further to the edge but all in all quality stuff.Name: 2011-08-05_19-51-22_414.jpg

Re: 383 stealth ram and 700r4 swap

Did you move the engine forward or the Tcase back to fit the 700r4? What headers did you choose?

Re: 383 stealth ram and 700r4 swap

Moved engine forward 1 5/8 just redrilled the frame. Btw the frame springs out when you remove front crossmember so account for that when you drill. I got a set of headman headers off a guy from work out of a newer k5 fit pretty good had to dimple the passenger side header by the front shackle it rubbed a bit. Price was right 40 bucks sand blasted them and painted them with som vht seams to be ok for now.
