Is this okay to do?
i have my tuck set up on the front with 2600's with out cupped arms or lower cups, ie the bag is just sitting in the stock spring pockets. is this okay to do? or should i change it out?

Re: Is this okay to do?
i would not do that. you need some type of locating device. lots of options and opinions on the topic. i used a bag plate to locate mine, cups also work just as well. you can purchase both from many vendors found in the suspension section.

Re: Is this okay to do?
You at least need a cup to help keep it centered

Re: Is this okay to do?
Are you saying it needs a metal ring around the base of the bag along with the bolt that locates it in the center ?
Should the bottom plate be angled to allow the bag a more vertical alignment ? along with a ring for support. |

Re: Is this okay to do?
what had me more concerned is the rubber parts of the bag touching the edges of the spring pockets
if it's just locating it that's the prob i could bolt it to the lower control arm no problem.

Re: Is this okay to do?
You need a cup to keep it centered AND prevent it from chaffing. If the bag rubs, it will fail. You do not want it bolted on the bottom.

took em out as it gave the proper ride height at a decent pressure level.

Re: Is this okay to do?
You can always just cut down the cups to the required height you need, but you should run cups and trim out the spring pockets if they bags are running close to them.

Re: Is this okay to do?
Don't notch the control arms unless you plan on filling them and can weld properly lol Unless you mean the spring pocket you're cutting, cause that's fine. Just make sure to grind it down and smooth it out.
