I was in the Insurance business for several years, owned a personal lines agency. After that I built houses. Now I am a construction site manager for Habitat for Humanity. I get to work with great volunteers every week, and we are helping needy families get a home.

I'm fresh out of high school and I work as a skidder operator for a logging outfit in Glenwood, Wa. I'm enrolled in an EMT course and am headed to paramedic school. My dad tried to talk me out of it. He is one and I make more money driving skidder than he does being a medic.

I've been a mechanic for the past 30 years, working on everything from farm tractors to Heavy Diesel trucks. Right now I work for a Ford dealership. ( the smart doctors go where the sickest patients are)

I am absolutely amazed at the jobs represented here. I guess I am probably at the low end of the job spectrum (being a farmer) but I am proud to be a member of a board with such high end type jobs. Congrats all!!!!!!!

Thanks for the info ... the reason I asked is I represent SNK in this area (North Alabama - Middle/Central Tennessee). Was wondering what your opinions on the SNK machines were versus the others you mentioned.

Boeing is one of my customers here also, ... the Delta rocket plant in Decatur, AL. Looks to be some tough times ahead for those guys, with the Lockheed-Martin / Boeing debacle going on right now.

I am a Residential Realestate Appraiser. I set my own hours and make out my own pay check. The harder I work, the more I get paid. I only spend a couple hours a day inside behind a computer, the rest of the day, I'm on the road looking at houses/land and meeting new people. The best thing is, I don't have to work late nights or weekends, unless I want to.

Mechanical Engineer by degree. Race Engineer by job. I work for a NHRA Sport Compact PRO Rear Wheel Drive race team. Can't beat wrenching, designing parts, and being crew for a 6.9 second quarter mile, 200 mph HONDA! First job out of college too! Did I mention that it puts out 1500hp?

And in my spare time I spend my hard earned salary on my 68 chevy.
