I'm a sucker for these 1 tons

I made some contacts at the Sac swap meet and this is one of the trucks that I brought home. I have a hard time passing up on the 1 tons. Especially when they are selling it for scrap prices

Re: I'm a sucker for these 1 tons

The 1 ton looks pretty good from the pictures and the price sounds great. I miss the quality of trucks that you all have in California. I lived there a very long time before moving here to Missouri. When we were in Northern California in July I saw a lot of '67-'72 Chevy/GMC trucks still on the road being used as trucks.

There are two trucks I would like to buy some day, one is a 67-72 Chevy/GMC 1 ton flatbed and the other is a '67 4X4 swb stepper.

At my age they may just stay on my wish list, lol.

I have to kill hundreds of wasps before I can get a really close look at what I have, but it looks pretty clean.

One thing I find kind of fun is buying old trucks and looking them over and finding different stuff in the cab and some of the good or not so good mods the POs have done.

Getting rid of the wasps sounds like a good first step, lol.

Are they charging 1 penny per pound for scrap price up there? That is what we are getting paid down here for scrap. The guy then ships the scrap to the rust belt for big money.

Around here, I'm getting over 10 cents per pound right now for tin.
