Changing Interior to Saddle - Need Advice

I've gathered all the parts to change my interior from black to saddle. I looked through old posts here and see that most trucks with saddle interiors had a matching color steering column. Mine is black and I think it'll look like crap with everything else being saddle. I spent a few evenings looking for a good color match spray paint. Checked all the local auto parts stores, HD, Lowes, Michaels, the web, you name it. I found a couple vinyl paints (SEM, Colorbond) in an acceptable color but they are not made for painting metal.

Anyway, if anyone here know's where I can find a spray paint that'll match a Saddle interior, please let me know. Thanks!

You may have to go to a local body shop that mixes their own paint and have a small quantity mixed up and get a small spray gun or air brush gun. Good luck and post up some pics when you get started .

Re: Changing Interior to Saddle - Need Advice

Had the same problem finding saddle paint for brackets I had made up for 3-point seat belts. I had some SEM vinyl paint that was close, so I called SEM to find out if it would work on metal; they told me it was fine so long as the metal was primed. Looking good after 1 year.

Sorry - don't have a headliner and the rest of the interior is pretty well shot. Mismatched steering wheel, cracked armrests, tattered seat cover, and I'm re-covering the dashpad.

That's very good to know. I'll give it a try. Thanks.

I had the same problem, I ended up going to a good automotive paint store and having some mixed up. I took in a defrost vent and had them match the color on the backside of that vent [no fading] and I think it came out pretty good.

It looks VERY good! Just curious; is the top of your dash painted black or saddle?
