3sp to a 4sp

Is there anything different when installing a 4sp in place of a 3 sp? Will of the parts work for the 4sp, Bell Housing, clutch, flywheel etc...What type of shifter and linkage should I be looking for? LMK

What type 4 speed are we talking about? The old granny low SM465 has a larger retainer in front. It takes a Bell houseing with a larger hole. If you are thinking of a car type 4 speed it will fit but the shifter will be far back. You will have to modify the drive shaft on any thing you put in.
