Does that Starter come off when you replace a tranny
I am swapping my TH350 and its been a long time since I have done this, does the starter have to be removed to drop the tranny or not??

i dont think so. it sits on the engine side of the fly wheel mounted to to block. so i think you are ok..

Nope you can remove the tranny and leave the started in place as long as it bolt's to the block and not the tranny. It does sometime's help to remove the floor hump to access the bellhousing bolt's. Hope this help's ya out..
