What is the measurement of the back side of a 1/2 ton dog dish hubcap? Thanks

Right about 10.5" and the big ones are right about 12"

Anytime,Tim. I don't know much about trucks,but I'm a carpenter and I have it marked on my tape. They are actually closer to 10 5/8"+ O.D. and 10 3/8" I.D.,but close enough to tell them from the 8-lug caps.

Same question -
I've got a set of 15x8's for the front and the hubcap tabs measure about 10-1/2". That's a quick look with the tape measure in not very good light with the spindle nut/dust cap in the way. I'm looking at getting a pair of 15x10's for the rear from an online vendor. Their spec states - Fits 10.12" outside knob style hubcap. Is this the same thing? There are only three tabs on their wheels for the hubcap. I've also found a cool set of hubcaps locally (pictured). I am going to call them tomorrow and ask for a measurement. I'm assuming they are the same as what's pictured above and will fit the wheels I've already got. Question is, will they fit the 15x10's I want to order????

It's been my experience that any 5 lug wheel from back in the good old days when hubcaps were used will accept any hubcap made for any 5-lug wheel. In fact,same goes for 6-lug. I'm talking 14" and 15",but 6-lug 16" also take the same hubcap. I'm talking Chevy,Dodge,Ford,Studebaker,Rambler,whatever as long as they are outer nub. Wheels weren't rocket science back then, The back space was always close enough to work and hubcaps interchange. The only thing you need to know is the lug pattern to know if the wheels will fit.
I think that wheel company has their fractions and decibels mixed up. They either mean 10.5 or 10 1/2. There is no such thing as 10.12 in hubcaps unless they invented it.

They'll fit. The inside dimension is 10 1/8. It's the O.D. that is 10.5 on most gm caps.

Ooooh! That's a sweet shortbox you've got there! Thanks for the info, and I'll be picking them caps up. What size rubber are you running? I'm planning on the BFG 295/50's in the rear and something a tad smaller up front for some rubber rake.

Thanks Man! those are 255/70/15's BFG

Check out 295/60's for the rear on the ten inch wheels, and 275/60's on the front on the eight inch. I knew someone who had that combo, and it looked sweet! I think it looks better when you don't mix profiles, and there isn't a 15" 50 series tire that would look proper on the front.

Sweet! Thanks for another great tip. I'll get the specs from TireRack, but it sounds good and makes sense. I called the poster on them caps and have not heard back yet. I'm anxious!

Can't find those sizes in BFG or Firestone? I'm thinking 295/50 and 235/60. they are both about the same diameter (26"+), but the 235 is almost 2" narrower than the meaties on back. Search Google Images for BFG 295/50-15. They are BA and I'm hooked. On a 10" wheel, they're gonna be awesome!

Check Cooper tires. 26" tall is too small for my taste. they don't fill the wheel well. If you saw one mounted and on the truck you would probably agree.

edit, It seems 295's are getting rare. Sorry.

Coker Tires carry the BF Goodrich Silver Streak in a 285/70/15 (rear) and 235/70/15 (front) I think these look really good.
