Sway bar and bags

I have read about needing to cut the front sway bar on bagged trucks. My question is, if I cut it flush with the LCA mount, will that effect how the sway bar works? I am no engineer, but it seems that the sway bar has to move in and out of the bushing. Is there a chance that the sway bar will dig into the bushing and cause some problems?

Re: Sway bar and bags

Clean the end of the bar w/some thinner/acetone. With the end brackets correctly bolted in place:
Air-up the suspension all the way w/make a reference mark w/a sharpie on the outside edge of the bushing.
Drop the truck all the way down & repeat the reference mark.

Cut the bar off between the 2 marks as close as possible to the 2nd one w/o removing the reference mark.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
