Brake Rotor Size

So I need to replace the warped rotors on my '86. Local parts stores match it according to back brake size. I'm using the opportunity to upgrade to the drilled/slotted rotors. Found these but it just says fits rotors that are 1.25".

How the heck am I supposed to know if they'll fit AND what's it really matter about the back brake size? I'm sure it does, just got my curiosity peaked.

Thanks for the advice...

Re: Brake Rotor Size

Back brake size? What does your truck have for rotors? 1" or 1.25"? Measure thickness of rotor. If you change the rotor size you will have to change other parts also.

Re: Brake Rotor Size

Could be wrong but, I thought that the idea behind knowing the back brake size was that the bigger back brakes come with the bendix front instead of the delco front brakes.
